What Do You Eat When Hurt Too Bad To Cook Or Depressed To Lose Weight Or Not Gain Weight?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I gained a lot and struggled so presently ordering 4 quarts of Chinese mostly veggie based stir fry per week and dividing it into 1 cup portions and freezing it in zip lock bags. I eat it 2x a day with 1/4 C. Steamed white rice. I add in prepared small amount of lean meat, an egg, or seafood because after dividing it into portions there isn’t enough meat left in it. Then for evening just have a serving of meat for about 1,400 calories for the day. So I feel satiated and lost weight. I had… read more

Need Help With Low Fat Low Carb Diet, Need To Lose Weight.
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I really don’t want to cook. It has to be super simple. I was getting Chinese takeout and mixing one cup of stir fry to extra frozen veggies. Just using the takeout as a flavor base. Lost weight but sick of it now, Not that great a selection in frozen veggies in Mississippi. The flavor profile is weak after adding in more veggies so doesn’t taste as good, I still have an appetite but nothing in the idea of food appeals to me. Not sure what to do next, I don’t want to do lots of fresh food prep… read more

Didn’t make much of a difference, and the difference it made didn’t last long either. It was basically a waste of time and money for me. I hope it helps you out though!

Looking For Snack Food Ideas
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I find it so hard to find snack foods. I eat a lot of vegetables with meals so I don't want them as snacks also and it seems all snack type foods contain starch. I sometimes have dried fruit, no sugars added, certain nuts, cheese, which dairy is inflammatory but I still have cheese and a small amount of milk. Anyone have any snacking go to ideas? I mostly follow low starch, sugar free, gluten free, low dairy and try to stay away from processed foods also. Thanks

Strapped Budget Diet/eating Habits?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am STRAPPED big time currently $$ wise. We are also rolling into winter so very limited on fresh fruits & veggies... I LOVE Salmon but it is just EXPENSIVE. I really struggle with GI flares... I tend to ignore the pain and keep going so my body uses GI FLARES to MAKE me stop... I just can't always stop as I still try to transition after a diagnosis so recent but after decades of having AS symptoms. I know I need to focus on diet and less "processed" food but I'm a Single Mom, Home owner… read more
