I have all the symptoms of spondylitis - chronic back pain that improves with movement/exercise but worsens with rest, regular flares, peripheral joint pain, and myofascial pain. I started having low back pain in my mid-20s. Since then, it's progressed to my upper back and now to my hips (I just turned 51 a couple days ago). I have Active nr-axSpA and I started to have pain in my both ankle ( swelling, redness)

I went to an AS INformation session in Toronto. The Dr.’s mentioned that the Biologics treatments are less effective on women, especially if they don’t carry the HLA B27 gene..
