Recently I've been having neck pain, which feels stiff and my hands sometimes feel a little numb or like I'm getting pins and needles. My arms are fine it's just my neck and hands. Could anyone please tell me if this is related to the spondylitis in my spine? Many thanks.
I have numbness in both of my forearms into my fingers and now both legs.
I can be sitting down and I get this strange pain in the middle of my foot underneath. I get a similar pain in my wrist sometimes too but am not sure what is causing it.
Hanging in there like all of are. Getting tired of getting bounced back and force with the doctors. Seems like there are different doctors for different things related with our spines. Hope that you… read more
I just read on a website that pinched nerves from spine disease can cause symptoms of IBD and cause constipation or diarrhea. I just thought I had mild IBD and it really didn’t bother me much. I could control with diet choices. But I’ve been fasting and don’t hardly have anything in my gut right now. I felt fine all day until I drank a glass of water. An hour later I felt nauseous and had diarrhea. I’ve had this 3 times in the last week before dieting. I almost had a blockage and was badly… read more

Hope you are doing well.
Does anyone have any problems with “stiffer speech” and resulting in “excess saliva”?
Speech, yup, mine is related to repeated inflammatory damage (Neurogenic) to cervical nerves that control speech. Sometimes my voice sounds raspy, too, which I thought was caused by my CPAP. Overtime… read more
I started having some numbness and tingling in my right shoulder, down the arm and into the hand. This is 2nd time in a week it has happened. I can still move it, still feel like normal, no pain, no other symptoms (other than panic/anxiety thinking it might be a stroke) I mentioned it to my rheumatologist when i saw her last week and she said its probably a nerve as the other time happened when i was driving for a couple of hours..
Has something like this happened to anyone else?
I usually don't pay much attention to physical discomfort bit yesterday it got so bad I took myself to the ER. I was having severely nausea and loan up the sides of my back. Blood tests and a cat scan showed nothing wrong, in fact a couple of nurses commented on how they rarely see a healthier specemin of my age.
You've hit the nail on the head.
Thats the spirit Andy! Read about Andrographolide, Fucoxanthin, and black cumin seed oil in the National Library of Medicine at National Institute of Health.gov (US sites) to learn how they can help… read more
I seem to deal with this a lot. It can, at times, make exercise a little challenging. Also, pins and needles that come and go in different areas.
I don’t really see much literature on this. Or sites that list it as a symptom of AS.
Thanks 😊
Wonderful, thanks for the idea.
