Is there a difference between Spondylitis Pain and Lumbar Spondylosis???
The hand pain! I have AS. I have intermittent debilitating flare-ups, and days that are tolerable. Recently my hands and shoulders have had so much pain. My neck has hurt nonstop for a few years. It… read more
I find they don’t like to put it down even. I recently saw a rheumatologist who I think is good, he just doesn’t stay in the room more 6-7min. He got up to leave and I said so what do I have? He said… read more
I have to go every 3 months for check up and bloodwork.
I am a newly diagnosed patient with Spondylosis. My condition is very advanced, considering I'm just 33 years old. I have a plethora of non pain related symptoms all day everyday in Conjunction with my pain and limited mobility. Is this considered an autoimmune disease too?
I know AS is auto-immune as i have had it since I was 20. Spondylosis is not auto-immune.
The second one comes from age disease, the first one comes from systemic and genetic disease. I'm not sure but I think you might be lucky to have the one that is age related.
I get a steroid shot when my legs are numb, and I can't feel my feet. It takes the swelling down so that I can feel my feet and legs. Numbness in my legs and feet are creepy. Good luck. God bless… read more
I started having some numbness and tingling in my right shoulder, down the arm and into the hand. This is 2nd time in a week it has happened. I can still move it, still feel like normal, no pain, no other symptoms (other than panic/anxiety thinking it might be a stroke) I mentioned it to my rheumatologist when i saw her last week and she said its probably a nerve as the other time happened when i was driving for a couple of hours..
Has something like this happened to anyone else?
Recently I've been having neck pain, which feels stiff and my hands sometimes feel a little numb or like I'm getting pins and needles. My arms are fine it's just my neck and hands. Could anyone please tell me if this is related to the spondylitis in my spine? Many thanks.
I have numbness in both of my forearms into my fingers and now both legs.
I'm just wanting to know the difference between Spondylitis and Spondylosis
I just read that the difference is that -itis is autoimmune related, -osis is wear and tear related. Pretty sure I read it on this site.
Prayers for you and your family and I hope you feel better soon. I hope your surgery went well. I have a lot of the same things wrong with me like you do. I take it one day of time.
