I have read of the difference, Irish shows inflammation on x Ray, osis does not. Similar in that both are the result of lack of smoothness in the joint or end of bones and both cause varying discomfort, not because of the inflammation as much as the nerve endings being irritated. The itis can be treated with biologics and TNF meds, while osis cannot. The itis concludes the body is turning on itself ( autoimmune)due to the nerve irritation, the osis concludes the body is not turning on itself. At the end of the day, both cause the same symptoms.
I have stenosis too...ankylosing spontaneous...Degenerative Disc Disease so I feel for you! I don't understand it all, I just know that my back is a hot mess!
OSIS OR ITIS.Both Equal alot of terrible pain.I don't care if THEIR is A difference.if you got it . its painful
