Yes there is a difference. So Spondylosis is due to age related wear and Tear of the joints. Where as Spondylitis is an autoimmune condition which is imflammotory that affects the joints and surrounding tissue.
Both have some similarities but they are two completely different conditions. I hope this helps

The hand pain! I have AS. I have intermittent debilitating flare-ups, and days that are tolerable. Recently my hands and shoulders have had so much pain. My neck has hurt nonstop for a few years. It started in my lower back. I also have bilateral sciatica. The hand pain is new, started a couple weeks ago. I don’t know if Spondylosis pain is different. Seems like it would also be severe, but maybe it feels different. Not all pain feels the same to me, even though the severity may be the same.

I don't know if there is a difference in pains. Pain is Pain. Let me tell you this, the "Women," "others" in our lives are the strong ones, and I thank my maker sometimes that she is in my life, and that she is strong because I am not.
