I'm wondering the same thing... two of my second cousins have passed on from what they call familial? ALS and my youngest brother was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 18 but he was one of the people who live for a long time with it...my two cousins both passed from it within a year and a half of diagnosis of the disease...I can't answer your question but I hope when someone can that they can notify me also...
