I have AS and right now I am on the perfect meds for me and I’m not having any symptoms at all. But before I found this med every time my knees would swell my stomach would swell as well. It’s a systemic disease and can affect every organ and tissue in your body. I thought I was nuts when it first started happening. It was like I couldn’t just have one problem I had to have 3-4. When I found out that it was all related to inflammation I didn’t feel quite so crazy.

I'm finding refined sugar will increase my pain so avoiding or limiting it. Trying to find new ways of giving my body what it needs nutrition wise but that's a challenge in and of itself.

I thought it was whatever I had eaten was giving me an upset stomach. I regularly use antacid tablets to relieve my upset stomach. Yes, my legs do swell, but I am on torsemide 40mg daily, but I can take 60 mg if I feel I need it.I hope to be on perfect meds too!
