Enthisitis experienced for a few years without knowing what it was. Joint pain mostly in fingers, wrists, diagnosed 6 weeks later
Easier to comprehend, in all due respect to our esteemed JiPrek, is that stress is an enormous contributor. When we feel stress/ anxiety the body becomes tense. That tension in the body is the same tension humans have always felt all the way back to when sabre tooth tigers were chasing early man. The same physical system, now referred to as the autonomic nervous system, we had then, we still have. Fight, flight freeze. This sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system creates signalling in our body that creates inflammatory molecules. Stress for any reason does this. While it is certainly not the only cause of AS (even JiPrek who had Lyme disease bring his AS dusease on knows this), it is definitely a big contributor to it. A vicious cycle. If you can get deeper testing, such as gut mapping for hidden bacterial pathogens like pneumonia or strep throat, heavy metals testing for too much or too little of certain metals, and more you can begin to know why your body is doing this to you, besides the stress, and begin to get rid of the catalyst(s). Likely, only part of your disease is "in your head". Gut disbiosis is the prinary catalyst. Btw, seratonin is produced in the gut first, something i heard recently. How interesting. I have learned so much about the way the human body works all because of pain, from many sources. Yours in better health P 😌🙏
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member we know the diagnosis, we inform ourselves about the disease, what symptoms the disease manifests itself in. We expect the symptoms, we are afraid of them. This worsens mental health. Mental health is aggravated by pain and inflammation. Ankylosing spondylitis is mainly a psychosomatic disease! It cannot be healed without healing the 'head'!! Emile Coé, Joseph Murphy, Bruce H Lipton already knew that!
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member Pokud známe diagnózu, tak se o nemoci informujeme, jakými symptomy se nemoc projevuje. Ty symptomy očekáváme, bojíme se jich. To zhoršuje psychické zdraví. Psychické zdraví zhoršuje bolest a zánět. AS je hlavně nemoc psychosomatická! Nelze ji uzdravit bez uzdravení "hlavy"!!! To již věděl Emile Coé, Joseph Murphy, Bruce H Lipton!
Sometimes after a person receives a diagnosis, it is constantly on their mind, even subliminally without realizing it, and they notice symptoms more. As you approach menopause, the drop in hormones that modulate inflammation accelerate disease symptoms. If you have decreased avtivity levels symptoms will accelerate. Im sorry for your diagnosis. It's very challenging with many co-conditons youve never heard of. Live in the moment, one moment at a time. Yours in better health P 😌🙏

The progression of AS can vary significantly between individuals. While research suggests AS typically worsens about 35% every 10 years, symptoms and severity can change rapidly over time. Early symptoms like enthesitis (inflammation where tendons attach to bone) can exist for years before other symptoms become noticeable Show Full Answer
