While there's no universal requirement to eliminate coffee when you have spondylitis, some people find that dietary modifications can help manage their symptoms. The most important dietary approach is following an anti-inflammatory diet that's high in fresh vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins while being low in sugar, processed foods, and saturated fats.

If you're considering cutting out coffee, it's best to:

• Discuss any major dietary changes with your doctor
• Consider alternatives like herbal tea if you want a warm morning beverage Remember that managing spondylitis is highly individual. What works for one person may not work for another. Focus on finding an overall healthy eating pattern that makes you feel your best and helps reduce inflammation in your body.

My life is no life without my 2 morning cups🫩, so I dress them up and make them healthy by mixing in functional mushrooms and 20 grams collagen peptide protein powder to each cup. Caffeine isnt particularly bad in moderation as long as it's well sourced and nutritional. It's the sugars and other additives as well as poorly sourced (i.e.grown in toxic nutrient depleted soil) that makes it potentially inflammatory. ☕
