Does anyone know if there is a definitive way to distinguish between non radiographic AS and reactive arthritis? It seems like the two have several common symptoms.
Are your labs all negative? Mine are except hlab27. My sed rate and c reactive protein levels are low

It took 9 months, a lot of tests, and a 12 day hospital stay to rule out everything else for me. I have it in my peripheral joints so not as simple to diagnose
The second one comes from age disease, the first one comes from systemic and genetic disease. I'm not sure but I think you might be lucky to have the one that is age related.

I started having some numbness and tingling in my right shoulder, down the arm and into the hand. This is 2nd time in a week it has happened. I can still move it, still feel like normal, no pain, no other symptoms (other than panic/anxiety thinking it might be a stroke) I mentioned it to my rheumatologist when i saw her last week and she said its probably a nerve as the other time happened when i was driving for a couple of hours..

Yes , my neck surgery helped a lot . I don’t get the numbness as bad when I drive long distance .
The article mentions that one of the symptoms is sometimes psoriasis, in addition to other common psoriatic arthritis symptoms such as heel pain and IBD etc. Wouldn't the correct diagnosis then be Psoriatic Spondylitis? Whats the difference when there is no evident fusion? Do treatments between the two differ?
