Members shared a variety of natural and alternative remedies for managing ankylosing spondylitis pain beyond TENS units, with several mentioning regular chiropractic care as helpful despite the cost, and others highlighting magnetic therapy such as bracelets or magnetic strips worn near pain points like the sciatic nerve. A member recommended an electric foot plate that mimics TENS-like stimulation, while another found relief using a handheld shower head with warm water spray to create a similar effect. A recurring theme was the willingness to explore creative, accessible options and share resources with one another to improve quality of life.

I have a magnetic bracelet and a magnetic strip which I wear attached to the back of my knickers where the sciatica nerve is and it has made so much difference to my quality of life.

I have a bath shower head that I use that sprays out and feels like TENS. I use warm water. Hope this helps you, too.
