One member described their rollator as a walker with wheels that also has a built-in seat for resting, which can be really handy. Rollators can be especially helpful for people with AS because they:

- Help prevent injury
- Support balance and stability
- Require less energy than standard walkers since you don't have to lift them
- Allow you to rest when needed (models with a seat)

A forearm rollator shifts more of your weight to your forearms and upper body, which could potentially reduce strain on your lower back compared to a standard rollator. However, everyone's AS affects them differently, so what works for one person may not work for another. It would be worth discussing this with your rheumatologist or a physical therapist who has experience with AS. They can assess your posture, spinal mobility, and core strength to recommend the best mobility aid for your specific needs — and help you avoid any movements that might aggravate your lower back.
