Ankylosing spondylitis for 20 years
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. I lost count of yhe osteophytes on my facets, and the ones inside what's left of the discs. Yep, damned all the way around. It's incredible what the human body can endure and sometimes manage to live with. The autologous BMAC stem cell transplant i had done 2 years ago appears to have resolved many of them in that area they were injected into, the facets on both sides of C4-7, according to last MRI, full range of motion restored, no pain worth mentioning. 9 nerves were in stenosis in that section, including the central affecting my walking gait and balance. The best part, it was 100% covered when they looked at the alternative recommendations for me. 6 level ACDF. Not thanks. I'll probably do it again if my neck starts acting wonk and stuck again. Out of all the invasive procedures I've had done, it was one of the easiest and least painful by far. More importantly though for you my sweet lady, how are you feeling/faring with that bad old covid? Yours in better health P ☺️ 🙏
Yes, but I have radiography evidence that mine is from new bone growth on my cervicothorasic site. Then again, the bone growth was probably caused by inflammation. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t and curse a lot. Peace, Pat
