Vitamin B and Vitamin D with K1 and K2 have been amazing. It helps with a ton of different symptoms and is an easy fix.

Personally, I had very bad brain fog, word aphasia, fatigue, confusion, joint pain, etc when I was eating gluten. I ended up being diagnosed with Celiac but I know several people that have told me that they do not have celiac but by going gluten free, it has helped with all of the symptoms I listed. That’s not as easy to change and it doesn’t change the same day but trying to avoid it as much as you can may make a huge difference!

Brain fog in spondylitis can cause forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, and mental sluggishness. This happens because of inflammation - when your immune system is overactive, it can trigger inflammation that affects your brain and prevents it from reaching full alertness.

Many MySpondylitisTeam members experience similar symptoms, from forgetting words to feeling generally "fuzzy" or having trouble concentrating. Several factors can contribute to brain fog with spondylitis:

1. Chronic inflammation - directly linked to cognitive dysfunction
2. Sleep problems - pain from spondylitis can disrupt sleep, leading to cognitive issues
3. Medications - some treatments may affect memory and cognition

Since you're only 2 weeks into Salazopyrin treatment, discuss any cognitive side effects with your rheumatologist. They can help determine if your brain fog is related to the medication or the condition itself and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
