Members discussed switching to angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) for their potential anti-inflammatory benefits, with one member sharing their plan to switch from current hypertension medications since NSAIDs and biologics aren't safe options for them. Several members offered practical advice, including keeping a detailed symptom log or using the free PainScale app to track daily changes, take photos when relevant, and share precise information with doctors during limited appointment time. A recurring theme was the challenge of finding alternative treatments when standard options aren't viable, with members also mentioning turmeric as a helpful supplement for easing inflammation.

I wonder how many off label medications are out there?

In the US, without FDA approval insurance companies are not inclined to cover and Dr to subscribe (education, pharmaceutical influence, available information, etc.).

You are so good about that and I love this idea. I’m getting a journal and starting this method. ❤️

#CWF. I sincerely hope that it works for you CW. I'm not familiar with your particular issues. When it comes to any new treatment, i find it helpful to keep a log of symptoms, sometimes when applicable even pictures. Keeping a log helps me not overlook day to day details that could be important to keep track of but i otherwise may overlook or forget by the time i see my dr again. With the limited time we have with our drs these days we dont want to forget the details that often do make a difference in our treatment plans going forward. There is a free app that i have used that is very helpful for this and it can even be linked to your drs office if you want that feature too. The app is called PainScale. Here's a link to it...
