I have blurring vision in my right eye. I have an Epiretinal Membrane with a Macular Hole in my left eye, (not related to AS, at least I don't think so). Vision in that eye is 20/400, so blurred vision is a given. Of course I have been to see an eye doctor. I was just wondering if anybody else has blurred vision with AS. I really struggle with reading and typing!

Members connected over the challenging experience of blurred vision with ankylosing spondylitis, with several noting that eye ligament inflammation and severe dry eyes are common AS-related causes that can significantly impact daily vision. One member shared that cataract lens surgery and tear duct plugs successfully resolved their vision issues, while others described needing trifocals despite previously having perfect vision and experiencing worse symptoms during flare-ups. A recurring theme was the emotional weight of managing multiple overlapping complications, met with deep encouragement from the community to take things one moment at a time and lean on faith and connection for strength.

@Viciki10, blurred vision has been a part of my axSpA/ AS journey. Severe dry eyes also causes blurred vision for me. The eye ligaments can become inflammed in AS and contribute to blurred vision. Needed Cataract Lens surgery and tear plugs resolved this issue for me.
