For drug assistance try The Assistance Fund. They pay 100% of co-pay and they accept medicare. It is income based but the base is fairly high.

For co-pay assistance try different specialty pharmacies even if they are he same chain but different locations. They all have different grant options and forms of assistance for payment. We went out of state to get a cancer med but not because of co pay issues. Mississippi didn’t have the infrastructure to protect the temperature of the medicine. Also check the state healthcare office. We didn’t go the state route.

I'm 71. The way I look passed a while ago. With +50 years of AS experience I've had a lot. But it never stopped me from living a productive, good and big life (as I still do). The lost annoying is skin cancer including melanoma (I credit the "B"'s - beach, boat babes, beer and booze). I have mohs surgery scheduled in a week. Have had over 25 surgeries for skin cancer from ankle to neck (so far). Biologicals are not cancer friendly. I remember a few times in earlier days going to ER (for strurem inflammation) - when you walk in "do you have chest pains" - I always went to the first in line to get a steroid shot while they wired me up for a heart attack. Crazy and amazing life from the boardroom to Hollywood.. I'm grateful and thankful and my hope in Him continues.

Remicade was the best for AS+Ulcerative Colitis, but insurance made me switch to Inflectra (biosimilar). Inflectra is not as good. If my body rejects it then I gotta switch too.

A few years ago I had shingles on my face. Doc though it may be MRSA because it was on both sides of my forehead. It went away with time. It was not a pleasant experience. Have great sympathy for others.
