A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a autoimmune issue l 4 and 5 need fashion surgery but ins. Wanted to try the needles in back to dead nerves. As I hurt daily some worse than others I'm on gabapentin and tizanidine I will be going soon to deaden the nerves. Steroids worked good but I got moon face. In addition, gained weight I am in at 218lbs. I recently started ww. And know weigh 190.2 . Hope this works.

When I was on Gabapentin, I gained quite a bit of weight. Exactly what you don't want to do for back and joint pain. I'm now trying to get back on Cymbalta. At least I got some relief from that and as an added bonus I was able to lose weight on it!

I get the tingling in hands. I also get it in my feet especially when I’m walking longer distances. Mostly on left side.
I get ablations in my neck that helps alot.
I was just on a round if Prednisone. 3 weeks and I feel better(ish) but don’t want to be on them any longer. Doc said if I’m in alot of pain I can stay on them longer. I am also on gabapentin.
Good job on your weight loss. It is not easy us it? Especially when you feel like garbage.🤗

Best of luck to you. It can be so frustrating to have to keep taking medications that don’t help much. I look at all drug side effects before taking some medications because I have been fighting my weight for many years and I know if it worked I would try anything but always ask if their is another medication that doesn’t make you gain weight because that is another issue that could increase your joint pain. WW best choice, I am a lifetime member.

I had surgery for trigger finger ( that’s where the finger bends on it own and won’t straighten) . I ended up having the other fingers decide they wanted to freeze up to . I had a heck of a time getting my hand back to normal but it works well now . But it was crooked for quite a while .
