What Symptoms Constitute A ‘flare’?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed in 2016 with peripheral spondyloarthritis. My symptoms were mainly in my shoulders, knees, Achilles and fingers/toes

I have spent the last 5 days flat in a recliner. I can’t get out if a sitting position or stand upright without horrendous pain. Rheumatologist worried it was a fracture so sent me ER. CT scan showed no fracture.… read more

I am also on methotrexate and prednisone 5mg....lately my lower back, lumbar feels like stabbing knives. Terrible pain. I'm not aware of any meds to help other than the strong stuff which you have tried. I only use extra strength Tylenol. Wish there were a remedy for this killer!!! 😥😥😥

I don't know how anyone can get pain relief from Tylenol. Its not an anti inflammatory med. My son who has our problem takes 2 Advil with 2 Tylenol every four hours and one muscle relaxer, Tizinidin. He still has some discomfort but the pain isn't unbearable.
