Hello, I live in Miami at the moment, any thoughts on which hospital, clinic I might be able to contact? Thank U. Be well everyone!🤲
Most of my daily pain is in my SI joints, therefore I am going to see a pain management specialist and discuss having a SI joint ablation. I have had a SI joint injection that worked wonders for about 3 weeks. Was wondering if anyone else with AS and SI joint pain has had an ablation of the nerves in the joint and if so, what was their results.
Yes I did a double SI ablation in February with local anesthesia. My doc skipped the test somehow. Turned out to be horrible. Sent me into a flare for 6 weeks. But remember that everyone is different… read more
Hola everyone!! Hope everyone is managing and having a great day. I have a question for anyone that has had an epidural or ablation? I just had me 2nd round of medial branch blocks from my L4 to S1 And now I’m scheduled for an epidural instead of ablation. He said he was afraid ablation would t work and didn’t want to try it just yet. What’s anyones thought or opinion on it. Thanks!!
I’ve had both. They tried ablation 2 different times, didn’t help and it was so painful. Epidurals help some. For me, SI injections work the longest & best. Good luck, keep your light shining.
When a pain management doctor won't treat your issues. Or rheumatologist.
I've had that done several times. When I had a good pain management doctor for injury at work. Also oxygen bed and chiropractic care. Water therapy. And now last 3 yrs. None of it covered by my… read more
My doctor has been testing my nerve respons via putting me in a light sleep then poking my nerves with lidocaine type injections. Then I post how long they lasted i.e. 1 hour to 2 days. Now he wants to do several ablations both lower back and cervical (different sessions). Has anyone had success with this?
I’ve had numerous injections in my neck & spine but my question is:
Has anyone felt so fatigued that they were down for almost a week afterwards?
Every time I’m so exhausted I’m in bed for 5 days. The 1st 3 so tired I barely Get out of bed.
The 3rd day I always feel like I’m coming down with something & by the 5th day I’m better.
Anyone else with AS that this happens?
Only worked for 7 months for me then stopped so it is a hit or miss with some so it depends on you and how your body takes to it 😊
MRI reults says, facet joint arthropathy, spondylolisthesis, degenerative disk disease, modic type 1 end plate changes L5-S1 and disk bulges. Dr did not tell me why, other that what the Ablation… read more
I have had three sets of nerve block injections over the past seven months. I am scheduled for radio frequency ablation in 12 days. I am wondering if people get relief from them. Thanks in advance.
For those who had RFA in this post, did it ultimately help you or hurt you?
Anyone have success with minimally invasive surgery on their spine
My disease is progressing and I can not tolerate most narcotic pain medications. Really don't want to take medication that make feel out of it I take flexeril at night with extra strength Tylenol and one Advil. I wake up 4 to 6 hours so stiff and in pain I can't sleep. Tired of the fatigue and pain. Tried physical therapy, stretching, dry needling, pool therapy, epidurals and oral Prednisone. Looking for relief. My husband's… read more
Did Duloxetine help your pain? Just wondering. I'm on it and I feel like it helps more than any other med I've been on. I still struggle with pain every day though.
My neuro is absolutely against spinal cord stimulators and ablation, I didn’t ask why he was against ablation. But he said they seldom get the spinal cord stimulators in the right place. If the placement is good it might work. He said the technology has not advanced where they can position the probe into proper position because if a person lays on a table they can’t tell where the weight bearing pressure is to place it effectively and if they stand the person up there is 100 pounds of whatever… read more
