How can I help myself ? Anti inflammatory foods. I have tried to no avail. Taking Gabapentin but doesn’t seem to work sometimes Raining today. Makes me hurt all over. I don’t know what to do to help myself. Just tired of it all
I have tried a number of different meds for arthritis over the last several years but it wasn’t until my Rheumatologist put me on an old tried and true med called Sulindac about 2 months ago that I… read more
Yesterday I worked a 12-hour shift at the hospital. My day was spent with extensive hours in one patient's room. She was there for other conditions. Due to a procedure scheduled, she was given a COVID test. It resulted in a positive. When I let her know, she cried, "What else can go wrong"? I just gave her time, knowing, this news was compounded by her other issues. I said a prayer for her, my coworkers, and myself silently. Today I called each appointment I have scheduled for this week. Each… read more
Thank You for your understanding
I was diagnosed with 'non radiographic' AS (although it's questionable about the NR b/c my doctor saw inflammation on the MRI, brought it to the attention of the radiologist who then agreed) and started with taking Piroxicam at night. Initially and for the first time in my life I woke up in the morning without pain. I then was prescribed Cimzea (the medication for NR AS). It's been close to a year and recently, I started having the same pain in the morning where it's difficult to straighten up… read more
Anything is possible. I've been on medication that I questioned about whether it was wearing off. I quit taking the medication for one week, started back on it and it worked great
Don't do this… read more
Have any of you experienced this issue? Also over the past couple of years I've experienced pain and weakness in my wrists which when pushing something shoots through the back of my hands, I just can't seem to shake it and Naproxen which works for all my other joints doesn't seem to touch it.
Hope you are all doing well and for those of you in the U.S. have a great Memorial Weekend. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I tried dry needling for my neck and shoulder pain and it helped quite a bit. My PT did it and there was no pain at all during the procedure.
Been diagnosed with breast cancer and bone cancer. I have managed to stay strong so far, but my family are very upset, how does a person get through this? .
The Macmillan nurses have been very good, they come to my home and give me a shower, they are very helpful. Just this small thing takes the pressure of my family. Hugs to you all. X
I started having some numbness and tingling in my right shoulder, down the arm and into the hand. This is 2nd time in a week it has happened. I can still move it, still feel like normal, no pain, no other symptoms (other than panic/anxiety thinking it might be a stroke) I mentioned it to my rheumatologist when i saw her last week and she said its probably a nerve as the other time happened when i was driving for a couple of hours..
Has something like this happened to anyone else?
Yes , my neck surgery helped a lot . I don’t get the numbness as bad when I drive long distance .
I was sick with a cough. I would have severe cough attacks. My lower back is now hurting worse than it ever has. Hurts in tailbone area and sometimes in my thighs. I rarely have low back pain (my neck is my main area for pain).
Yes! Sneezing or coughing destroys me every time 😞
Recently, I had occasion that the pain was severe and it also felt like my upper right abdomen felt full like that movie Alien where an alien popped out of the man's stomach area. Went to doc, had tests. Could not find the cause. Henceforth it finally went away except for the normal pain that I have all the time in the right side of my back.
Ditto! I 100% con ur with Lisa173. Except I do eat lean beef and pork occasionally. Fresh or frozen plant foods, no ultra processed anything, only water to drink, a minimum 50 oz per day, other than 2… read more
Good to hear! I am going to look into that diet. I have been on the AIP and that works well too.
