Sacroiliitis is a common spondylitis symptom — it's inflammation where the hip and spine connect, and it can cause pain that radiates into the buttocks, pelvis, and upper thighs.

Enthesitis, which is inflammation where tendons or ligaments attach to bone, can also contribute to pain in the hip and surrounding areas. As for wheezing, spondylitis can occasionally affect the chest and rib area through a condition called costochondritis. This inflammation can make breathing uncomfortable or restricted, which some people describe in different ways.

However, wheezing specifically should be discussed with your doctor promptly, as it's important to rule out anything more serious going on with your lungs or airways.

It's always a good idea to bring all of these symptoms up with your rheumatologist so they can assess what's connected to your spondylitis and what might need separate attention. You're definitely not alone in experiencing these kinds of symptoms!
