I can't take NSAIDS because of a ruptured ulcer. I have been seeing a pain clinic for 4 years for epidural injections and opioid for painting management. Nothing is helping though and the rheumatologist I was finally able to get an appointment with because lab results showed I had lupus told me I was just overweight and depressed.
Get a 2nd option u know ur body but if ur ulcer u can take the drugs
Theres nothing a Rheumatologist can give you that will help improve your condition or pain. Try seeing a Functional Medicine Dr. They can probably cure your ulcer as well as your pain. But it will require you to do many changes as well in all likelihood from diet to activity. Make sure the one you see, if you choose to, is a Dr or PA or RN in a traditional medical field as well as Certified Functional Medicine practitioner in case you do need a prescription. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours at your appointments, fill out more paperwork than you ever have for a medical appointment, and have more tests than you ever had done too. This is the type of dr who will get the causes of your disease identified and address every one of them to get you back to whole again, as much as possible. You might need to do the insurance paperwork yourself, many of them dont do that because they spend more time with patients directly instead of sitting online with insurance claims or hiring someone to do that for them. It's worth it though to take that tedium upon yourself though for better treatment. Yours in better health P 😌🙏
