As for the medical literature, i often have to look up definitions of words I'm not familiar with. Many people are busy with many types of lifestyles, jobs, and other demands. But they typically have the wherewithal to look after themselves when they have family who depends on them. And if it never occurred to them to rely on themselves, if others are reading this maybe now they will realize how important that is. Im sure there are plenty who dont care, and thats fine, but if just one person who reads this does care about those who rely on them to be around for their loved ones, maybe now theyll start taking time and effort to read a little more, or have a reader read it to them, even if you dont. No harm no foul. It's just a matter of personal and personal family choice. Consequences to every action and lack thereof. Peace my kiwi friend. 😌🙏

I will be talking to my rheumatologist in Oct. I do not need to stay on cosentyx if I am just immune to it. Or its making my GI issues so much worse.

It is true that not everyone experiences the same results from meds. And there are many reasons for every experience. However, it's a good idea to be aware of what the side affects may be BEFORE you start taking all meds so that if you experience any new symptom changes you can become aware that it may be due to the new med and quit taking it before damage becomes too severe, such as stomach ulcers, avute kidney injury leading to chronic kidney disease, or liver disease, or heart failure or stroke. Or death😳 To not be aware of what the meds youre taking can do is akin to playing Russian roulette with a gun.

Probably a reasonable idea, though (and this is only my personal thoughts) I've also considered long term effects of damaged joints through not taking meds would be more severe.
I've never ever read up on any side effects of any of my meds, through major reading and learning difficulty issues, and secondly never had time while I was working.
My meds kept me at work until I was forced into retirement, at slightly beyond retirement age, and, well over a year ago, and the hours I was working (up to 80hrs a week) required the meds I was on.
I would think they have to put the side effects on as everyone will respond so differently as everyone is so different with their requirements. What will happen to one will not necessarily happen to another.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Cosentyx side affects... ALWAYS read the fine print that comes with ALL your medications. Do not expect the doctor or pharmacist to do this and cross check your meds. They dont have time to do that for all their patients. That is the patients responsibility. I learned this the hard way after suffering every side affect listed other than coma and death. 3 days in the hospital with every known test run only to get home and read the fine print in the box. You'd think someone at the hospital would have checked the med i was just prescribed post op at the same hospital . Nope. 😑🤷 And now you have Dr Google to educate yourself about the many deadly prescriptions doctors are spitting out just to treat side affects to causes. Learn your causes for disease. Stop those and you wont need these awful meds.
