I have to correct myself I am on a strong water pill since changing my blood pressure medication a few months ago. I am wondering if it has to do with the new diuretic I am on. My feet and ankles were swelling so the doctor added this diuretic.
This happened to me. Probably due to inflammation in the neck, I had an Otolaryngologist diagnose me with "organic essential tremor of the tongue, throat, and larynx. My voice was a little raspy, but mostly it would simply cut out mid word all together. The spasms in the throat do that. At its worst, in conjunction with chronic costochondroitis, I would also need to take a deep breath every other word or so just to vocalize on the exhale. Foget holding a phone conversation or speaking up over the slightest background noise. Needless to say, immensely frustrating. Now i rarely have that problem. Deep diaphragmatic breathing exercises daily have been very helpful, as has been avoiding inflammatory substances like food triggers, scented candles, air fresheners, and high outdoor pollution days. Drinking 70oz water a day with a bit of lemon in it has also helped a lot. It washes out of the throat any post nasal drip irritants that we just become accustomed to over time and don't realize are adding to vocal challenges. Taking a daily antihistamine may be helpful. Yours in better health P 😌🙏
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. It took me a couple years to get mine back completely and steong again. Deep diaphragmatic breathing and singing worked best for me.
Thank you for all of this information. I am going to try it and do a few other things. ☮️💜
