Got the same issue. I tried to use collar but in my experience it doesn't help me maybe Pitac is right if you choose to use it maybe not all time just 30 mins a day for twice a day is enough.

Mine helps a lot when i wear it 30 minutes twice a day. I have one that has manual traction, prescribed by my spine surgeon. I cannot look up without supporting my head with my hands. Been like that for many years.

Neck pain from spondylitis is inflammatory in nature, rather than mechanical. While it can feel muscular, the stiffness and reduced range of motion are symptoms of the condition itself. The combination of neck pain and stiffness can significantly impact daily activities and sleep. Instead of relying on a cervical collar, consider these more effective approaches for managing neck pain:

• Regular neck exercises and stretches (like neck rotations and gentle flexion)
• Maintaining good posture throughout the day
• Working with a physical therapist to develop a personalized exercise program
• Discussing pain management options with your rheumatologist

Remember to stop any exercise if it causes pain or discomfort and consult your healthcare provider before starting new activities.
