@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Hello again Michele. I see from your page that you are in SE FL. I do happen to know that a FANTASTIC doctor of physical therapy is in the Naples area. Dr. David Lee, used to work up here in NWFL. I have seriously considered making the trip down there for a month just to have him work on me some more. He helped me tremendously and ive seen patients far worse than me get resolution of their spine problems with him. I believe the name of his practice down there is Bridging the Gap. Last i saw, a couple years ago, he has a 6 month booked up list. Thats getting very common with good doctors in all fields. A result of too much demand and not enough supply of good drs. 🙏😌

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Well.... the AI (Artificial Ignorance I prefer to call it🤭) non-human automatic generated answer isnt necessarily the correct one. Go figure. 😏🙄 This real human person reads your question that asked about spondyLOSIS, not spondyLITIS. There is a difference and, therefore, treatment will be different. It depends on the type, location, and source of your symptoms as to who might be most affective and what type of treatment might actually help you and not make you worse. Im not a dr, but i might be able to make a couple time, medication, and procedure saving recommendations for you to consider if you can be certain what type of spine disease you have and more specific about your symptoms. Kindest regards 😌🙏

For spondylitis, it is recommended to see a rheumatologist. Rheumatologists have specialized training to diagnose and treat spondylitis. They are more likely to ask the right questions about your medical and family history, look for inflammation and joint pain during a physical exam, and order necessary scans and blood tests to assess inflammation levels in your body.

If your orthopedist isn't addressing your needs, consider finding a good rheumatologist who will listen and help you find the right treatment plan.
