My pain is more in the front. I stretch daily (which has helped me so much) I could not believe it. I do it daily before work.
I am wondering if we will loose function of our legs. I have a lot of numbness and tingling below both knees down to my feet. I am going to a therapist who can help me with this condition.
I do hope you can manage your issues. It’s not easy and you have to be so dedicated for relief.🩷🙏

I experienced a similar issue and it eventually developed into getting up as well. It turned out to be severe inflammatory damage to the hip joint tissues and bone degeneration. AS is an insidious disease it can spread beyond just your spine. I receive Fluoroscopic hip joint injections every 3 months which reduce the pain and some mobility issues. People talk about hip replacement for age related wear and tear. It is not always an option with ongoing inflammatory issues. Biologics

I also have experienced this, off and on, for about four years now. I am unable to accurately track it, to see why. I know it will be slightly worse if I spend too much time sitting, so try to go for a 30 minute walk after each meal. I often rely on Urban Poles or other walking poles to help keep me upright and strong. I also find aquacises very helpful.

I get muscle pain in my legs as well. I get groin pain and cannot walk without limping. Last a day or two. Doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s awful.

I too have this problem. A new development is struggling to lean down to pick up something off of the floor without having pain. My legs, feet and ankles are swelling which I haven’t had to deal with before this diagnosis. Anybody else experiencing this?
