I use Lidocaine patches 5% prescribed by my doctor and sit in my recliner. I also use Vicodin, when itβs really, really bad but seldom as my doctor is very conservative with her prescription.
When my back tightens or spasms, I sit for a few minutes (5 - 10) until it loosens up. Tumeric Curcumin helps. Have you tried that? I hope that you find a suggestion that helps you. We are all different. What works for me may or may not work for you. God bless..Connie
My back tightens up so I lay on the floor with my bolster lenth wise with my butt off the bolster or with it accross my scapula. If you do not have a bolster us down till your muscle relax that helps me with my pain
I use a cane with a fold out seat. I can't walk far all at once, but I do what I can and then sit. I recover pretty fast. Being a workout nut all my life I was used to walking at least 2 miles a day. When I started to not be able to, I would try to push on through. Didn't work-I fell a lot.
Thank fully I can go to the grocery store. I have to get small amount of stuff and get out. I can't walk and shop like I used to.
I don't tolerate medications well so I tend to use my hot pack which is very effective for me.
