Just keep reading conflicting information…I know at the end of the day is specific to the individual, but what works for most?

Milk, cafine, milk chocolate are all "THE WORST" inflmatories. I cut out milk and, I have noticed a difference in my pain level. CANT give up on "DARK" chocolate yet. But I know sugar is bad and I have one heck of a sweet tooth. I guess one day at a time. 😁

Good quality (high cacao) is anti-inflammatory. Have a bit of dark chocolate if ya want. Have a glass of wine, also anti-inflammatory. And weed helps some. I dont like to smoke but you can make butter for cooking with it.

AS is caused by inflammation from a certain bacteria that people with the HLA B27 gene for AS is sensitive to. It is almost impossible to kill the bacteria with antibiotics or the specific probiotic that will counter it. Excess sugar and carbs sometimes feed bacteria so I find intermittent fasting helps me and calorie restriction for a while. I make up for lost nutrients by eating liver once a week and taking Red star nutritional yeast. Then when I do eat I eat vitamins and mineral rich foods, A single 3 oz serving of beef liver will supply vitamin A and B Vitamins for a whole week. So I can get the vitamins in one meal and not over consume food to get all my vitamins. Minerals I get from collard greens and spinach. Bony fish help too like sardines, salmon, mackerel, or any cooked fish that the bones are softened from pressure cooking if eat the bones too.
