2023 - Degenerative Disc Disease. Spine falling apart. Trying acupuncture as opposed to surgery.
Question -
Has anyone tried acupuncture, and did you have good results?
Thank you,

I tried it and I wasted $100.00 a sitting. It did nothing.
Most of the the time when the needles are inserted,,,,,,,I dont even feel them. There are a few times when they were inserted in "certain spots" ( head, hand, and mainly areas where there is no or little muscle or fatty tissue), there is needle pain but, it goes away in seconds. I recomend acupuncture for ANYONE who is in any kind of chronic pain. Like I have said before,,,,,,,,,"I swear by acupuncture and, I LOVE IT !!!!!
Yeah we don’t have a tub either. I have to walk next door to Momma’s house for a real soak. A chiropractor once told me to dissolve 1 cup epsom salt in 1 cup warm water. Then take a wash cloth and soak up the water and place on the area that is is sore. Something to keep in your Spondy toolbox.

My Dr is the head of the acupuncture board here.
He has never offered me acupuncture for my spine..
I will ask for you.
He uses both needle and a tens unit.
I know my g/f is using it for IVF.
It is for some, not all.
And worth a try.
What about dry needling?
Again - its your body & you know whats best, in the end.
Keep fighting, Warrior Woman. xx

Pam, I don't care what anyone says, my full and 100% believe that accupuncture helps!! I went to an accupuncturist that was doing it for more than 30 years..she knew her stuff!! It helped on so many levels. Opened channels that had been blocked and actually relaxed muscles that are in a constant state of tension. I wish I could start going again weekly! And an LMT. Easier to spell than masseuse ☺️🤣😂
