My doctor told me any joint in the body can be affected. So I would say yes. I think they need to change the symptom list for these diseases. They make it sound so much easier than it is in reality.

I also have pain and swelling in that same area. My doctor seem to think AS has something to do with it because it has affected my neck. I can no longer turn my head left, right, or up, down. It would be a good idea to have a conversation with your doctor. If you find out any information please post I would definitely like to know.

I have the same problem, an although my Dr won’t say it’s directly related, he will say it’s should get better rest, and when I flare up to just rest!
