I see my primary care, pain management and rheumatologist. I am looking into seeing a therapist as well.

I find physical therapy and acupuncture really help me and reduce my reliance on NSAIDs for pain. Recently, I began to try mediation.

I also have a rheumatologist (and second opinion rheumatologist), cardiologist, gastroenterologist, and neurologist.

I know that this sounds like a ridiculous number of providers. But I encourage you to build your team and get admitted into their practices. This way you can call on them to see you when you need them.

You will find your way! It takes time, but we all get there. Kind regards, Sharon

I have a PCP but she really doesnt do much for the AS. I have/had PT, Rheumie, neuro, pain management specialist, and mental health counselors/psychiatrist. I also have an endocrinologist because I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis also.
