What Foods Do You Eat To Help Manage Your Condition? Which Ones Do You Avoid?
I have been researching this today actually.
Sugar is bad for inflammation
White flour
Processed meats
Box food
I avoid foods that are inflammatory like the 'nightshade' vegetables. No mushrooms, eggplant, peppers or tomatoes. I eat mostly a plant based diet with fish & a little white meat chicken, but no red meat. Lots of whole grains, nuts & pulses like lentils & barley, also dry roasted low salt nuts of all varieties. I drink only 1 caffeinated coffee per day. I've been told that soda & seltzer is not good either. I have a glass of red wine with dinner. I avoid processed foods as they contain preservatives & additives that hurt the immune system. I eat only whole grain brown bread from a bakery, not the supermarket shelf brands. Hope that's all helpful!
Nightshade include tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and potatoes. Sounds like you are already off to a great start!
I found cheese can cause inflammation for me so cut way back on that and feel best when I eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Chicken is good protein. I eat Granny Smith apples for a snack with almond butter. The less processed food the better. And one last thing cold pressed olive oil or avocado , coconut is good. I found soy bean oil caused inflammation so less processed oil is best. Good luck
Light keto, took myself off ALL meds because all of them made me gain weight and gamapentin is useless for my nerve pain. I just do light stretching and walking right now, too cold now. Back into the gym when it warms up.
