Bladder Issues With AS?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone experienced any bladder problems with AS? I’ve been experiencing severe pain for a few months now. I haven’t been back to the Dr yet, I don’t want to hear that there is something else wrong with me!😞 It’s not a UTI, it’s severe pain! I also have neuropathy from a b-12 deficiency. Im not diabetic. I have a Dr Appt coming up, but I thought I’d ask.

May be pain from Pudendal Nerve inflammation or pubic symphysis pain, or Overactive Bladder. Start with PCP to rule out simple things then check into a Pelvic Floor program. Or a Urologist. I've experienced all 3 conditions.

I have loss of bladder at times and occasionally feel like I have a UTI but I don't really have pain in my bladder. So sorry 😞

I discovered it was Kidney Stones! And they were being stubborn. Took a few months for them to pass and a few weeks to recover after, but I’m finally feeling better. Next time I have that feeling and my Dr assured me there will be a next time, I will go to the ER. I avoid going at all costs because of my pain contract, but that was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life, and I’ll call an ambulance before I suffer like that ever again. Lesson learned🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks everyone!

yes I have a bladder problem. It feels like its falling out. I have an appointment with a natural doctor.to see if pelvic floor exercise/treatment would help. I thought I was the only person having this issue.
