Yes I use mine. It helps take the pressure off.
Yes I have a compression brace for my lumbar spine, mine has a hard 10 inch by 12 inch plate in it, plastic I'm guessing because it's very lightweight. It also has a set of elastic drawstrings to sinch it snug, adjustable for more or less support. It isn't a hale Mary but it seems to help on active day's

I have a compression brace for my lower and thoracic spine, it also has a solid board on it. It doesn't blow up with air, but it does help when I'm active.
I have one I use on occasion. Especially for traveling 10-12 hours by car. Gives great relief and support to keep active.
