I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis 31 years ago at the age of 28, which at 59 now is pretty severe. Today after my follow up with my Gastroenterologist for my yearly Colonoscopy & CT Scan (Yes, I said yearly. More screwed up genes with Lynch Syndrome). Anyways, it showed on the CT Scan Moderate to Severe Scoliosis. Really?!?! I find this out from a CT of my gut, ordered by my Gastroenterologist, that I have Scoliosis

Scoliosis, a sideways curvature of the spine, can be related to spondylitis. Spondylitis can cause various spinal deformities, including scoliosis. Advanced or untreated ankylosing spondylitis (AS) can also result in kyphosis, a forward curvature of the upper spine that causes a hunched-over appearance.

My Dr asked if I had scoliosis as a child and I'd didn't so is scoliosis l would say late onset scoliosis is caused by as. He told me my back was so crooked that one I really need was a spine replacement. 😆
