I take methotrexate in pill form. Four pills once a week. Can you explain what side effects you had,TeresaDanoskyWelch! I recently lost all hearing in right ear. Dr. can find no reason for it. Did say it would probably never come back. Any thoughts from anyone are appreciated. Miserable!!

Shots are once a week, I shot under the skin. I do mine in my arm. I’m diabetic so shots aren’t a big deal for me. I feel nauseated a little and just kind of blah for a few days after. The doctor said the nausea isn’t as bad on shots vs pills and that it will start working faster. Still told me 4-6 weeks before I will feel a difference tho. I’ll update if anything changes. I had to stop methotrexate because the intense side effects. I'm taking Arava as well as Enbrel. But in a terrible flare right now so may have to go back on Orencia or Rituxan!
