I have got to the point where I am struggling financially due to not being able to work. Has anyone had any disability payment granted?
I was hit by a drunk driver years ago and as well as my AS I also have 5 disc bulges which are projecting into my spinal canal, which cause severe pain and jerking in my hands and arms, PTSD and an anxiety disorder.

The FACE-TO-FACE interviews are often embarrasing and extremely 'personal'.
I asked permission to record an interview for a friend and was told I could NOT do so.
The reason, I have since read, is so they can change their questions/answers if necessary! They are, I have read, asked to alter some answers if there are too many points in favour of a claimant!!
I also read or heard somewhere that these 'processionals" receive fees of some £350 plus per hour.
REMEMBER to double- check your form and keep a pbotocopy.
I always recommend working on a photocopy and then when you are happy it is correct, fill in the original form to send in.

I'm still waiting for an answer from pip but bap say I'm capable for limited work witch I have to appeal against I'm lucky that I have veterans welfare helping me out with all the forms both with job centre and pip I now sum on here have got help and sum have had to fight for help I'm fighting so watch this space
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member I finally got my pip threw I never got the mobility side so I'm aski g for a reconsideration on it and I only got the lower rate of pip and it was back payed to when I applied for it just hope your fighting for it you got to fight for everything from our government they are tight short arms deep pockets they havr
Please make sure to keep copies of all forms you submit.
(2) The forms are, I feel sure, designed to try and catch you out. Questions are rephrased for this purpose.
With many forms, only questions where you 'tick' YES are even looked at!
Watch the wording you use when answering!
ALSO - IF you are turned down - APPEAL the decision.
For pip ring them they will send you out paper work to fill out your claim will start from day you ring when they will get in touch about an assement if they think you need one if successful you will get any money owed back dated to the day you rang them
