I have pain and weakness in my hands but especially on all my thumb joints so yes holding a pan I’ve noticed I’ve had to get lighter weight pans plastic mixing bowls instead of glass heavy ones and then sometimes my ol man has to do the pan holding for me as I just can’t! Like picking up a spaghetti pot to dump in the strainer .
But I will tell you I do believe the issues with my hands is associated with my AS as I’ve had it just as long and when my AS gets worse and I have flareups my hands are flared up as well. Getting pretty bad. Like to the point where opening jar lids or bottles is pretty tough

When you have one issue it can cause other sections of your body to hurt. Sometimes it is a different problem because we use our hands/arms to get up easier. The extra burden we put on them can cause tendonitis and carpal tunnel. Best advise ask your doctor to do some tests ENS or MRI if it gets too painful.

I have COPD, carpal tunnel which was operated on and plantar fascitis in my feet, lots of people on here seem to have the same, is it connected to the spondylitis? Only the doctors have all treated them as separate problems and not mentioned that they are connected.

I have elbow and hand pain too. Today I even have weakness in my right hand and some numbness and tingling.

Sure! As far as I'm educated, your tendons can be affected.
