A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have bought numerous pillows from cheap ones to the more expensive ones and none have helped. I get no sleep whatsoever and I can’t cope with it anymore please can someone advise me. Thank you. X

I have had the struggle with getting sleep, I also have sleep apnea. My sleep apnea Dr. finally agreed to providing me a prescription sleep med. It's been super ever since. Plus the pillow I use is a bamboo pillow.

I use a. Tempurpedic. It was a bit firm at first but they break in and it goes everywhere with me! I have sleepless nights too. From low back and hip pain as well as sciatica. I turn on my night vision on my ipad and watch youtube videos or Netflix until I fall asleep. Then I wake after a couple hours in a lot of pain because i have too much pain from not changing positions. I walk the halls, sit in a recliner but the tilt on my hips hurts my back, and I end up back in bed. I sleep best from 4:30-8am. Temperpedic pillows will shape to your head. Give it time to break in. Don’t get a different brand get only the tempurpedic. I have tried 3 other brands. For the cottage and RV but. I end i[ taking my tempur[edic everywhere I go. But give it 2 months to fully breakin. I have been using it now for about 10 years. I have a special cover over it and can wash that.

Hi I use three feathered pillows and this helps to get some sleep.
If I still get sleepiness nights I sleep in my reclining chair.

This Dr. On YouTube had been very helpful for me. I use two thin pillows, lots of height for my shoulders as I'm a side sleeper, tucking my chin down and aligning my chin with the center of my chest helps. Oh I also prop a thick pillow under my arm to keep my shoulder back too.

I cannot prop my head up much sometimes I use a pillow but I struggle with this every single night and most the time end up not using a pillow at all while at least laying on my back and Sometimes every once in a great while I find relief using a neck roll travel pillow that actually cost me $1.49 on sale at the local grocery store
