Is Anyone Not Using Pharmaceuticals For Their AS?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I currently am using Tylenol 3 for pain. I cannot take NSAIDS. I do not want to take anything else. I already take 8 pills a day because I had a heart attack in May and really struggle with anxiety. My Rheumatologist has mentioned Biologics. I want to stay away from meds as long as I can. I do struggle with pain, sweats, IBS and so many of the other commons symptoms, but I have to try everything else first.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member you can get essential oils at stores but you don't truly know if they have chemicals in them or not as they legally only need 5% oils for them to put 100% essential oils on the label. Young Living guarantees 100% natural seed to seals oil which you have to buy online

I have AS and progression has fully fused me from coxec to t1. Got the bone growth over it too. The biologics help me a lot and they also help slow and stop the progression. They were not available when I need them.

For non meds I did this with a good yoga teacher. It took me 3 tries to get a good one, so if you don’t connect try again. I did private l lesson as my progress was such that injury could be a problem in a classroom environment. I still do some , the meditation and breathing help me work through pain. I had been pretty good with pain b4 but got much better after , I owe her a lot for that.

Also thi quan do (sp) is good but I was to fused to do this.

Everything can be found on YouTube, Netflix.. I suggest trying sun salutations. Concentrate on the breathing it helps a lot. Hope this helps.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member I use Young Living essential oils, specifically for me PanAway diluted with a carrier oil and put into a roll on works! There are others, like Ortho ease, frankincense, rosemary to name a few. They target inflammation and stiffness. There can be some trial and error to find what works best for you though! Hope this helps (:

Hello, new to this site but I was diagnosed with AS a year ago and I've just recently started using essential oils since I hate putting medications into my body and I find they really help!!
