Medical Marijuana, Cbd Use

Medical Marijuana, Cbd Use

I am looking for alternative treatments for my AS. Will be on pure Medicare this next year and I’m very doubtful that I will be able to afford my humira. If you are using or have tried using either the full product or the cbd (without thc) I would love the feed back. Also if you know a source for good cbd, product descriptions are sketchy online. ( I can buy from 9 to 120 and they all read the same) thank you!

When Is It Time To Try Biologics?

When Is It Time To Try Biologics?

I was diagnosed with non-radiographic axSpa a few months ago. I’ve tried several NSAIDs, PT over the years, exercise, prednisone, injections etc., all of which have helped some, but I am still having pain
The rheumatologist wants me to try 4 weeks of prednisone again, along with Tramadol, to see if that will help. When I mentioned concerns about progression, he said that I shouldn’t worry about it - but that Enbrel might be an option if I would like to try it
I appreciate all the help I’ve… read more

Anyone Who Has AS And Gastrointestinal Manifestations, What Are Your Symptoms? AND, How Do You Manage Your Symptoms?

Anyone Who Has AS And Gastrointestinal Manifestations, What Are Your Symptoms? AND, How Do You Manage Your Symptoms?

I am a 26 yr old female who was diagnosed with AS in February earlier this year. Though like most, I have experienced symptoms since I was 16 yrs old. When I was 21, I began experiencing full blown GI attacks that presented it self similar to Crohn's Disease symptoms. The flares have evolved since that time, occuring 1 to 2 times per year at 4 weeks at a time in addition to constipation and bloating. At this point, I am frustrated with the test results... They found ileitis on my initial CT scan… read more

Has Anyone With AS Had A Sacroiliac Ablation?

Has Anyone With AS Had A Sacroiliac Ablation?

Most of my daily pain is in my SI joints, therefore I am going to see a pain management specialist and discuss having a SI joint ablation. I have had a SI joint injection that worked wonders for about 3 weeks. Was wondering if anyone else with AS and SI joint pain has had an ablation of the nerves in the joint and if so, what was their results.

Tingling And Numbness In Arm - Anyone Else?

Tingling And Numbness In Arm - Anyone Else?

I started having some numbness and tingling in my right shoulder, down the arm and into the hand. This is 2nd time in a week it has happened. I can still move it, still feel like normal, no pain, no other symptoms (other than panic/anxiety thinking it might be a stroke) I mentioned it to my rheumatologist when i saw her last week and she said its probably a nerve as the other time happened when i was driving for a couple of hours..

Has something like this happened to anyone else?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member said:

Yes it was from the inflammation but if that's in check may just be carpal tunnel

Can I Be Sensitive To Food If I’m Not Allergic To Any?

I tested negative on having any food allergies, but I do feel that food can affect inflammation. I cut saturated fats out because I was on keto and I was really hurting. Now I feel worse. Fatigue and hurting
