You need to draw the blood for a basic inflammatory marker panel two days after the flare begins. If you can’t get the panel through an appointment in two days which seldom happens, go to the ER. Tell them you’re in a pain crisis and need a inflammatory marker panel drawn for your doctor at this precise moment for your primary to see the markers while the inflammation is happening in real time and not after the inflammation has passed because you will still have the symptoms long after the… read more

I’m a chronic dieter with IBS. I can’t take vitamin and mineral pills because it nullifies my thyroid medicine. I’ve tried researching foods high in magnesium and calcium but I can’t find anything high enough. I don’t want to eat a ton of food to get minerals. They say our water here has high mineral content but it is brown so afraid to drink it.
Me too! I’m having to include more dairy but it runs my blood sugar up and gives me seborrhea but it’s better then what the supplements do to me,
The article mentions that one of the symptoms is sometimes psoriasis, in addition to other common psoriatic arthritis symptoms such as heel pain and IBD etc. Wouldn't the correct diagnosis then be Psoriatic Spondylitis? Whats the difference when there is no evident fusion? Do treatments between the two differ?

You need to quit smoking. I know it's hard but I did it and my sister just did. It's not good for the bones and healing. It interferes with healing. Puts you at higher risk for complications. Hugs
