A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am now in my 40s with Ulcerative Colitis with associative arthritis and Ankylosis Sponydlitis and Fibromyalgia. I relaize more then ever the importance of nutrition especially since Ulcerative Colitis and many physical activities (including the three letter one) demand so much more from the body. A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

They are withholding my Humira script because I had a basil cell cancer spot on my ear removed last May 2023. I started it March 2023. It was biopsied, cut out, and healed perfectly. I've been without and the process looks like they need the derm doc to call them and let them know I don't have cancer. I had a bad rep who told me to get the information from them and call back with it. Then I was told they need the doctor to call. I understand but 2 hours on the phone of misinformation and… read more

Need Help With Low Fat Low Carb Diet, Need To Lose Weight.
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I really don’t want to cook. It has to be super simple. I was getting Chinese takeout and mixing one cup of stir fry to extra frozen veggies. Just using the takeout as a flavor base. Lost weight but sick of it now, Not that great a selection in frozen veggies in Mississippi. The flavor profile is weak after adding in more veggies so doesn’t taste as good, I still have an appetite but nothing in the idea of food appeals to me. Not sure what to do next, I don’t want to do lots of fresh food prep… read more

What Do You Eat When Hurt Too Bad To Cook Or Depressed To Lose Weight Or Not Gain Weight?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I gained a lot and struggled so presently ordering 4 quarts of Chinese mostly veggie based stir fry per week and dividing it into 1 cup portions and freezing it in zip lock bags. I eat it 2x a day with 1/4 C. Steamed white rice. I add in prepared small amount of lean meat, an egg, or seafood because after dividing it into portions there isn’t enough meat left in it. Then for evening just have a serving of meat for about 1,400 calories for the day. So I feel satiated and lost weight. I had… read more

Fatigue Question
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else wake in the morning with fatigue, go back to bed around noon and sleep until 5 PM or so, and then go to sleep at 9PM until the next morning? This happens to me about 3 times a month. It started about twenty year ago and happened about twice a year. I keeps getting worse. I tell the doctors and get blank stares. I can’t be the only person out of 8 billion that has this symptom which is just one of many symptoms. I am pretty disillusioned with our health care system. If I was a… read more
