I use the Mediterranean Diet. All the various veggies keep you with all your vitamins and minerals. I have to leave out red tomatoes bc they cause inflammation. You never get bored bc there are so many different ways to prepare meals. Collagen drink mixes help big time. I can tell when I don't drink a mix every week. My skin has never looked better as well.

I am eating mostly whole fruits, vegetables and lean meats, some dairy. I have cut out sugar and starches as well as processed foods for the most part and I've lowered my inflammatory levels by 20 points...They're actually normal for the first time in 10 years. And I've lost 24lbs!

Im a tad embarrassed I just joined this site , but saw your question immediately. Yes I get headaches in the frontal lobe of my brain behind just one eye .
You’re not alone . Told not to be concerned by 3 doctors , one a surgeon just had cataract surgery on both eyes last month .
Hope it subsides for you .

I've been on the Autoimmune Protocol diet for 2 years. I have reintroduced many, but not all foods. Still no grains, dairy or legumes. I stay away from processed foods and sugar. I went from multiple Ibuprofen a day, sleepless nights, and days where I had pain, fatigue and brain fog, to mostly good days and nights with flares that are shorter. Before AIP, I couldn't remember a day without pain in 20 years. That said, diet is just one peice. Equally important is exercise/stretching, stress reduction, meditation/mindfulness and talking with a support group and/or therapist. I know how this disease can wreck a person's mental and emotional states, and those need tending to every bit as much as the body or your health takes a downward spiral. Wishing everyone pain free days and nights!
