I haven't been diagnosed yet because I need to see my gastroenterologist and I have to travel to do so. And due to the fact that my Dad had dementia and I was taking care of him at home (he passed away in November) at the same time my Mom was diagnosed with 4th stage breast cancer...found out in 2020. She saw the surgeon and the images were sent to her just back from 2016 and the surgeon could see the cancer back then. In Northern Maine we don't have very bight doctors or radiologists. So I've been also taking care of my Mom. My primary Dr asked me 2 years ago if I've ever been told that I had severe scoliosis... In which I answered no and you're born with that so why am I just being told that now. And I've had MRIs CAT scans ect. So I've been doing some research and I believe I have Spondylitis. Has anyone else been told later on in life that they had severe scoliosis and then found out they had Spondylitis? I do have arthritis in my lower spine but never in my life have I had pain like I do in my lower spine above my tailbone. I wear the proper sneakers with insoles cuz I'm damn near flat footed and also have planters fasciitis.
