I have a bed like the sleep number but with the purple mattress. It redistributes your weight over the area to keep from having pressure points. I have it in the zero gravity position. It really takes the pressure off your back.

I’m currently laying here because my heart is all involved. I have spoken to he doctor, I am below stroke levels. I have very low blood pressure normally. Right now I am waking at 145/81 with 101 HR. It’s normally 117/69 after walking into the doctor office. I’m down from that increase.

I’m very sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, if you’ve been on this website many are having similar issues.
My best advice is light exercise and restful sleep. It can be discouraging if your mobility is limited and you’re unable to get restful sleep. Ablations and steroid injections are hit-and-miss. Opioids and NSAIDs just temporarily mask the pain.
My biggest surprise was when I asked for mattress recommendations and nearly half of the respondents said that they slept on a recliner.
My daily walk keeps me sane. While it doesn’t alleviate the morning stiffness completely, it makes getting out of bed easier. There’s a morning stretch routine on PBS that I’m trying. My insurance pays for my gym membership so I’m able to use a treadmill when the weather gets crummy.
This year I’m going to explore massage(although the deep tissue massage is not recommenced for AS sufferers), and acupuncture.
I’ll be praying that you get some relief, Trevor.
Bug your Primary Care Physician and your rheumatologist for treatments. If you don’t have a pain management specialist, you may consider one for further evaluation, treatment, and recommendation suggestions.
