I'd take numbness over pain any day. My mom's feet were agonizing to her for years with neuropathy pain. Now the nerve damage is so extensive that she no longer feels her feet. She can still walk, she just pays attention to walking. And she's thrilled that she has no more pain!🤪Perspective is everything.
Thanks for the replies.... I wish well to you all :)
Hello there! This is a great question, but I've not been able to find any research concerning it. In MY case, the skin is completely numb in large areas because I accidentally burned it with a heating pad! I sustained second degree deep burns and my lower back is numb in general but the skin is COMPLETELY numb, even to pin pricks! Sorry that I can't be of much help, but have you used a heating pad extensively? That could be it
Hi Johnny,
I actually have the same issue except I have patches of numbness on my back, legs, feet etc. Apparently I have advanced AS ( because of my fusions and where my arthritis is) however I have not been able to find much research on the numbness.
I have suspected that it is due to nerve damage caused by AS however haven't managed to find anyone else yet who's mentioned it.
I appreciate your question so much and seeings I have found someone else with the same issue I would hazard a guess that the answer to you question is a resounding yes!
Have an amazing day and remember, no matter what you are going through...your day is what you make it!
